Spring Fashion Tips | Spring Wardrobe Essentials You Need in Your Closet

I am SO happy it’s spring.  Seattle is still having a bit of rain but I’m taking advantage of the days that the sun is actually out.  I’ve already been stocking up my spring wardrobe and these pastel pieces are a MUST HAVE for everyone.

Here are my spring wardrobe essentials:
COLD SHOULDER TOP: I love this trend and hope it doesn’t go away!  It’s just such a cute way to dress up an otherwise simple top.  Grab this one in pink or mint!
RUFFLE OR LACE DETAIL TOPS: A simple top gets an upgrade with some pretty, girly details. This one with the ruffle back is too cute!
KIMONO CARDIGAN: Always necessary to have a cute cardigan for those windy days or nights.  Love these kimono cardigans that are so lightweight and the tassels are such a fun detail!
STRAW TOTE BAGS: These are so cute for every day and of course to take on vacations!  I love how colorful they are and how much stuff you can carry.  Get the rainbow tote HERE and the three pom tote HERE.
STRAW HAT: The best message to give when you are on vacation.  Do not disturb!  The cutest hat and it’s only $38!
FLORAL ROMPER: Rompers are pretty much the easiest outfit you can put together. I’m loving ones like this floral romper in these pastel tones and ruffles.
And a few spring fashion tips:
  • Keep in mind that layers are going to be your best friend for the next few months.  I like to find just 2 or 3 lightweight cardigans that can go with the majority of my spring wardrobe and rotate between them.
  • Layer strappy dresses or tanks over a slim fitting tee for a bit of a 90’s inspo that’s totally coming back into style.
  • Pastels are trending now but you can always incorporate black, white and neutrals with pastel.
  • Wedges are the perfect spring shoe (that is when it’s not rainy) but cute sneakers are a great way to mix up your outfits.  You can definitely pair a dressier top with sneakers and still make it work!

Here’s how I paired the floral romper.  A pair of cute tassel earrings and my favorite wedges.
