You probably have heard that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is coming soon. For Nordstrom Cardholders, we get early access starting tomorrow. The public sale starts July 21. If you want the early access, you can go ahead and apply for the card here, just in time to shop the sale! Even if you don’t or aren’t able to shop the early access sale, don’t worry because there’s still going to be a ton of good stuff to shop. Fun fact, I used to work for Nordstrom corporate and we were required to work on the floor (or at least encouraged to) on the first day of the sale, so I have many, many years of experience behind the scenes as well as being a shopper myself and I can say, it’s pretty much like a national holiday for us here in Seattle, especially at the Nordstrom Flagship Store in downtown. The lines before the stores open, the excitement from all the sale people and then the doors open and it’s like a party all day long.
If you didn’t know, the Anniversary Sale is not like any old sale. It’s actually all brand new, never been seen before merchandise that is specially priced for the sale. It’s mostly fall/winter items which is why, even though it’s the middle of summer, you should be stocking up on all these items even if you have no desire to even touch a sweater or leather jacket in this weather 🙂 You can preview a lot of the styles in their catalog here but there will be a lot more in the sale.
With that said, I’m still very much in summer mode right now and I did a little bit of shopping and found so many cute pieces. Most of these are perfect for now, but some will still transition perfectly into the fall. I also know that most of us are probably trying to save money for the Anniversary sale but a lot of these pieces are under $50 and just great pieces that you will wear again and again so I think it’s worth it to get some pieces that you can just wear now. Or the other thing I do is to just take note of the pieces that I love, bookmark them or add them to my wishlist and then every few weeks, check back on your links or your wishlist and then snag them as soon as you see that they went on sale!
Such a cute flowy top. It’s one of those tops that you can pair with anything, jeans, shorts or a skirt and it will look so cute!

This is a nice thick knit. It was a little overwhelming on me so I didn’t get it but I did appreciate the longer sleeves of this cold shoulder top.
Another favorite top that I bought and can’t stop wearing. As you can see, I love tops with details like ruffles or cold shoulder but my new thing is the tie front top! TIE FRONT TOP – $49

This is such a fun sweatshirt for the fall. I couldn’t get the ties quite right but I assure you that once they are tied correctly they will look a lot cuter!
I haven’t look at LOFT in awhile but I stopped in as they were doing 50% off sale in store. I found some super cute pieces! They are doing 40% off online so not as good but still a great deal. Love all of these pieces!
