New Scented Bodycare Favorites

H20+ Beauty Bodycare

H20+ Beauty Bodycare

One thing I sometimes miss (that my hair doesn’t necessarily miss) is using heavily fruit-scented shampoos. When I was a kid, the stronger the artificial fruit scent, the better. But now, picking fragrances in general is an endeavor in subtlety or simplicity. Although my perfume tastes may vary, I gravitate towards single-noted or pure, distilled scents in my bodycare products.

This post will break down some of my latest favorites by fragrance. But really it’s a “what’s in my shower” kind of post, because it’s hard to commit to just one body wash for months!

H20+ Beauty: Powdery Softness

The Milk scent from H20+ Beauty has a very soft scent that I first encountered through the H20+ Beauty Milk Body Wash. After experiencing it in conjunction with the  H20+ Beauty Milk Body Scrub and the H20+ Beauty Milk Body Butter, I can say with confidence that it’s the kind of subtle bodycare scent that makes people think you just smell naturally nice. All three products really glide onto the skin exceptionally nicely as well.

When it gets really cold and my hands start chapping, I’m planning on throwing the lightly rose-scented H20+ Beauty Teak Rose On the Move Body Butter Stick in my purse. The deodorant-style applicator is genius.

Angan Skincare Review

Angan: Minimalistic Earthiness

It’s hard to know what kind of scent to expect from the Angan Icelandic Moss Salt Scrub, but I can tell you now that it’s really just a fresh woodsy kind of unisex scent. It’s not the type to linger but the invigorating skin circulation of the salt-based scrubbing really does. The Angan Seaweed Bath Salt is not an extravagant fragrance but a soothing, hygge-inspiring one. The salt in both these products are amazing for making skin feel cleansed and new.

Cake Beauty Review

Cake Beauty: Natural Sweetness

When I’m craving a fruity scent now, I reach for the Cake Beauty Triple Citrus Blend Body Butter Cream, which has an amazingly bright and clear grapefruit note. The thickness of the cream has been a god-send as my skin is adjusting to the colder months too. For a lighter product, the Cake Beauty Desserted Island Supreme Body Mousse is such a yummy coconut-note lightweight lotion that is very quick to apply. And between those two moisturizer textures, I also have the Cake Beauty Delectable Triple Moisture Body Lotion. It’s more of a creamy hydration and also scented with island-fresh coconut notes.

In the shower, the Cake Beauty Delectable Supremely Rich Body Wash smells so good that you might want to try eating it (but don’t!). The lemon-y scent somehow doesn’t come across candy-like, which I prefer. It’s just a sweet almost buttery-lemon fragrance that accompanies a perfectly moisturizing shower gel formula. When I want a quick and light scrub, the Cake Beauty Desserted Island Brown Sugar Body Scrub is sweet and nice. It smells like coconuts and brown sugar and also leaves behind a light hint of moisture (from the oils) in addition to exfoliated skin.
