2nd Trimester Maternity Fashion

It’s hard to figure out what to wear when pregnant, especially when you have a bump but don’t quite yet need maternity specific items. I did some shopping and wanted to share some of my favorite 2nd trimester maternity fashion that features non-maternity pieces.

I try not to buy too many clothes during pregnancy and I want to make sure that I buy items that I can still wear post partum.  One of my favorite purchases recently were some really cute high waisted jeans.  Although I can’t wear them now, I can’t wait to wear them after this pregnancy!  I’ve just been loving the high waisted look and they are so flattering on everyone.  But because I can’t deny my growing bump, I bought a few pieces that are not specifically maternity but are comfy for me to wear now and later on in my 3rd trimester!

PEPLUM & RUFFLE HEM TOPS

Peplum and ruffle hem tops are my favorite regardless if I’m pregnant as they hide everything!  For the most part I don’t want anything too body hugging so I love flowy tops like this.

COMFY SWEATSHIRTS

It’s getting hot here in Seattle but that doesn’t stop me from buying comfy sweatshirts!  I get cold all the time especially when you go in and out of A/C during the day.  I especially love sweatshirts with cute details like this one with the bows and bell sleeves.

OFF THE SHOULDER FLOWY TOPS

This is a trend that I’m so happy to be everywhere when I’m pregnant.  I love how off the shoulder tops are dressy and cute and there are so many cute flowy styles that can be worn for so many occasions.

Even though the tops I’m wearing in this post aren’t specifically maternity pieces, these are most definitely maternity jeans!  The moment I found out I was pregnant I went searching for the perfect pair of white denim and H&M make some of the best pregnancy jeans there are!

FLOWY MAXI DRESSES

For the most part, you’ll find me in a comfy maxi dress.  They are the easiest things to wear these days, as most days, I can not bother with putting on pants!  LOL.  I just really love how they are easy and you can go dressy or casual.

I love how this is such a girly feminine dress and perfect for dinners out but once I add a jean jacket over it, it’s also perfect for a day at the park!

A few more non-maternity items that I’m loving now are cute sneakers, shorts (thank goodness for elastic waistbands!) and a casual, comfy tee shirt (look for the ones that are longer length).
