With Fall already here and winter quickly approaching, I felt like it was the perfect time to organize my closet. I like to swap out my Spring/Summer clothing and accessories with my Fall/Winter wardrobe so that it is easy to get dressed for the weather. While I’m doing this, I can also do a quick clean out of anything I may want to sell or donate to declutter. I thought I’d share some chic and simple ways to organize your closet.

Use a Clothing Rack

This idea works great no matter what size your closet is because you can move it anywhere and they come in different sizes too. A clothing rack is such a fun way to hang and display clothing. Plus, it makes it so easy to grab your favorite styles and swap them out depending what season it is.

Gold Rolling Rack

I have this rolling rack below and I use it all the time! I spray painted it gold as I just could not find the perfect gold rolling rack anywhere.  It was easy to do, just take the whole thing apart and just make sure to coat all sides.  It also makes for a cute set up for instagram photos 🙂

Shelves for Shoes

If you know me, you know I am shoe obsessed. I love the idea of using simple shelves to hold all of my shoes. It makes each style easy to see and all of the pretty shoes lined up is just so fun.

DIY Shoe Shelves

If you don’t have closet space for your shoes, carve out a small corner in your bedroom and use shelves like these to create your own mini shoe closet!

Hang Accessories on the Wall

I love the idea of using cute hooks to display your accessories on the wall so all your shelves and dresser top don’t get cluttered. This one is so easy to do and it makes a huge difference for things like necklaces to have their own hook to hang on so they don’t get tangled together.

Wall hooks for lightweight accessories

The wall hooks are an easy DIY and very affordable!  If you are not as handy or you don’t want something so permanent, I use these removeable hooks all the time. Just pay attention to how much weight each one can hold but they are usually great for jewelry or lightweight accessories.

How cute is this DIY hat display?! Using clothespins to hang them up is genius!

Utilize the Back of Your Door

This idea is so great because truly the possibilities are endless as so what items you store here and how you do it, plus it effectively uses the space you have to work with. I love this solution for handbags below and the use of wire baskets to clearly see each item.

How great are the addition of rods in the image below? Perfect for belts and scarves. I love the copper color as well!

If you don’t have the space or want to use your entire door (let’s be real, you want the door to close right? LOL) This over the door organizer is great for the bathroom or bedroom and will hold and organize a lot without taking too much space.  If you have kids, we all know how much stuff they accumulate and we use an over the door organizer for all my daughter’s stuffed animals.  I also love this storage organizer that will be great for the baby’s room to hold various items like diapers and wipes!

Pretty Clothing Hangers

This may seem like an odd organization tip but using hangers you love will make you want to hang your clothes more and keep them more organized in general! I have and LOVE these sequin hangers and I swear they make the biggest difference with decluttering and organizing.
