Chic and Modern Blush Pink Living Room

When we bought our new house, before we moved in, my husband and I already had plans on how to decorate each room. I loved this space and instantly knew that it just needed a pink couch. Once my husband was onboard with my vision, I went looking for a pink couch and the Joybird Chelsea was the perfect fit!

I wanted to keep this living room chic and modern but not go over the top girly even though the pink couch was the focal point. It definitely took awhile to pull together but I’m very happy with how it turned out!

Joybird Chelsea Sofa

In order to pull together this room, we wanted to stick to a soft and fairly neutral palette which is why the rest of the furniture is gold or white. The color of the sofa is the “Royale Blush” and the material is a very soft velvet.

I didn’t spend a lot of money on pillows as you can find great pillows at amazing prices all over! Some of my favorite places to find them are Target, Homegoods, World Market and Amazon.

The other major furniture piece was the buffet which actually doubles as a pantry for us because we don’t have a pantry! Our old house had a huge walk in pantry so this was a big adjustment for us, but now that we have less space, we finish what we buy and don’t store as much food which is actually a blessing in disguise!

I think after the couch, the coffee table was the next thing that I knew I needed in the room. I still need to add some more elements to it but I’m still working on finding the right pieces to keep on there.

And of course I needed the perfect rug which is so much harder to find than you would think! This one had just the right amount of color to pull the room together but not to distract from the couch and the other elements of the room.

I love Fiddle Leaf plants so I had to incorporate one into this room. The one shown here is real but I do also have the faux one that I linked to and I highly recommend it, it’s a really good fake!

Necklace Wall Art

And if you are wondering about the necklaces on the wall, my husband came up with the concept and put it all together! I previously owned a clothing and jewelry line with my sister and my home office was full of our jewelry samples. He saw them and decided that they needed to be displayed. The frames are Ikea but he custom made the backs so that it would hold the necklaces perfectly. He’s also a master at hanging art (it’s not easy hanging that many frames and getting all the spacing right!). I love it so much as it’s truly a one of a kind art piece in our house!

Gleaming Primrose Mirror

I have to mention this mirror as I have been eyeing it for the longest time. I just think it’s the most gorgeous mirror and after seeing it on instagram in a few of my favorite instagrammer’s homes I just had to have it! I love the full length 8ft size but we don’t have the wall space for it so I got the 5ft one and it just looks so great over the fireplace.

The art that is above the stairs is also a favorite art print. I have always loved browsing Minted for art and when I came across this print I really wanted to incorporate it since it had the pink to play off the couch but also the really pretty greens too. The walls in our home are all gray so I wanted something that would bring a bit of color especially when you first walk into our house. Minted always does an amazing job at framing their prints and you can choose a custom frame for it. We chose the matte brass which I love, and looks great with the art.
