I shared my Fall 2019 Capsule Wardrobe for Moms a few months ago, so I thought I would do a version for Winter capsule wardrobe essentials! I am all about finding good pieces that I can get a lot of use out of and creating a capsule wardrobe really makes you think about what styles you can mix and match to create a ton of different looks.
As a busy mom and entrepreneur, I love outfits that can easily transition to everything I need to accomplish in a day. Typically, I look for basic items with feminine details and mainly stick to neutrals with the exception of some color/prints added for variety. TOPS
When it comes to tops, I am a sucker for feminine details, so when searching for capsule wardrobe essentials I try to find tops that are amped up versions of basics with feminine elements like a puff sleeve or pop of pretty lace.
DRESSES & SKIRTS
When it comes to dresses and skirts for the winter, you have to be a bit more practical as you are most likely dealing with cooler temps. A sweater dress is always an essential for me and can be easily dressed up and down. I also love this fun leopard printed midi skirt – it would be so cute paired with a sweater and booties!
SWEATERS & JACKETS
Sweaters and jackets are one of my favorite parts of the season – I love all of the cute layering options! This year I have been really into sherpa jackets as a cozy layer and this cashmere cardigan is so gorgeous and would get plenty of use.
PANTS
A good pair of high waisted skinny jeans, trousers and faux leather leggings are my wardrobe essentials almost year round. Just add a fun pair of leopard joggers for when you’re in mom on the go mode.
SHOES & ACCESSORIES
And I saved the best for last…the shoes and accessories! Classic, quality styles are always my go to. These nude booties are SO good and go with everything. These golden goose sneaker dupes are under $100 and a must have for all my stylish mamas. And this black/leopard tote is perfect to take you from carpool to cocktails.
