Sink or Float Thanksgiving Dinner STEM Activity

We love STEM activities in our house and this is a really fun thanksgiving dinner themed activity! Just pick food items (produce, etc.) that you will include in your Thanksgiving Dinner and test them out in a bucket of water to see if they sink or float.

This kind of activity is always a hit in our house and it’s great for older kids as well.

You can have each child make their guesses before you place the item in the water. This will teach them about making a hypothesis and conducting an experiment.

You could also do this with Thanksgiving or Fall themed toys, etc.
